PTSD Assessment

Derek is a 32-year-old male presenting with nightmares, flashbacks, hypervigilance since returning from deployment 8 months ago. 32-year-old male Army veteran presents at wife urging for symptoms since returning from Afghanistan deployment 8 months ago. He experiences frequent nightmares about combat events 3-4 times per week, waking in a sweat. He has intrusive memories during the day and avoids anything that reminds him of deployment. Your task is to take a focused history from this patient.
