Brittany is a 28-year-old female presenting with throat swelling, difficulty breathing after eating shrimp 20 minutes ago. 28-year-old female presents with acute onset of throat tightness, difficulty breathing, and diffuse hives approximately 20 minutes after eating shrimp at a restaurant. She has a known shellfish allergy but did not realize the dish contained shrimp. She feels her throat closing and is having difficulty swallowing.
